Supporting underprivileged children through education

Pillar International supports children in impoverished East African communities by focusing on education as a key to their success.
Education not only covers academics but also teaches children social skills, resilience and independence. In areas where schooling is inaccessible to those lacking resources, children face significant disadvantages.
Our goal is to provide poor children with access to education, a fundamental human right that must be protected. Education empowers children to build a future filled with hope, integrity, discipline, perseverance, peace and love.

“By education I mean an all-round drawing out of the best in the child and man - body, mind and spirit.”

— Mahatma Ghandi

Our Beliefs on Education

At Pillar International, we believe Education prepares children of all ages for a better future for themselves, their community and their nation.

We believe that Education promotes self-reliance at both individual and community levels. It strengthens the children’s bond with the community and nurtures responsible citizens.

Above all, we see Education as the strongest tool that instills moral and spiritual virtues like empathy, courage, honesty and fair-mindedness.
